An apparatus for molding a glass product for use in a cathode ray tube includes a plurality of molding assemblies, each of the molding assemblies having a mold set for molding the glass product. Each of the mold sets possesses a lower mold and a corresponding upper mold. Further, the mold set is pressed at a pressing station and then shifted to at least one cooling station in a closed state thereof.
