<p>An optical disk having a hard coat layer exhibiting effective lubricity, characterized in that, on the surface of a recording layer of the optical disk via a thin film cover layer, a hard coat layer is formed which comprises a transparent cured product layer prepared from an active energy ray curable composition comprising a polyfunctional compound having two or more of polymerizable functional groups capable of being polymerized by means of an active energy ray, a modified colloidal silica having an average particle diameter of 1 to 200 nm and having a surface modified with a mercaptosilane compound, a lubricity-imparting agent having a radically polymerizable functional group in its molecule, and a photopolymerization initiator. The above optical disk provides an optical disk which has a system wherein a recording layer is irradiated with a laser beam having a short wave length such as a blue laser beam through a thin film cover layer, and is advantageous in that it has a hard coat layer being excellent in abrasion resistance, the durability in surface lubricity and transparency.</p> |
