The nonwoven layer (4) on the adhesive film side of the tape is set back from one of the tape length edges (5) and the adhesive film (6) is applied directly onto the sealing film layer (2). The sealing tape comprises a three-layer composite material (1) with nonwoven layers (3, 4) laminated on both sides of a vapour-tight or vapour-permeable sealing film. A relatively narrow strip of adhesive film is secured to one of the tape length edges.
