A headlamp comprises a lamp housing (1) connected to a carrier element (2) which can swivel about a vertical axis (5) through a ball bearing (4) at one end (3). There is a roller (7,8) or glide plate at the other end of the carrier (6) so that the housing can move. The carrier holds the bearings in a state of tension in relation to the lamp.
