The resonant cover of the guitar is kept separate from the neck (1) and finger board so that vibrations can not pass between them. The neck is extended right up to the acoustic opening in the guitar casing. Vibrations are transferred from the neck to the base of the guitar casing or to the guitar frame via a rod system (7-9).
