The rod glow plug has a glow tube, internal heating coil(s) and if appropriate control coil(s) and a connecting pole leading into the tube, whereby the coil(s) is connected to the connecting pole and the tip of the glow tube. A stabiliser rod (10) is provided that extends through an opening in the tip of the glow tube from the connecting pole (9) to the tube tip in a mounting stage, and the stabiliser rod is arranged to pass essentially centrally through the coil(s) (7). |
