PURPOSE: A method for checking an input value of a network equipment management system using the web is provided to reduce the unnecessary tracks and the load of a web server by checking the validity of an equipment set value from an input value examination routine in an HTML(HyperText Markup Language) page. CONSTITUTION: After a user logs on, a web server generates and transmits an initial page to a client(S32). If the event requesting an HTML document including the present state of the network equipment is occurred, the web server approaches to an NMS(Network Management System) through an API(Application Program Interface), and writes and transmits the HTML document including the present state of the network equipment to the client(S36). If a network equipment manager changes the equipment setting, the manager inputs a new input value. The web server receives the new equipment setting request(S37). A Java script module in the HTML document receives the new setting value and examines the validity(S39). If the inputted value is valid, the Java script module drives a form handler by transmitting the input value to the web server(S41), and writes and outputs the HTML document to the client after setting the inputted value to the NMS through the API(S43).
