<p>Data transmitted/received via a bus including a signal line and a power line is transmitted/received to/from a connected host device by a communication device. A communication controller (18) which is always supplied with power while the bus (3) is connected is supplied with power separately from an MCU (14). When the connected host device (2) has entered a wait state, only the power supply to the MCU (14) is interrupted. When the connected host device (2) has come back from the wait state, the communication controller (18) is responsible for communication from the host device (2) until the MCU (14) can resume control of data transmission/reception to/from the host device (2).</p> |
