Disclosed is a level gauge operating with microwaves, comprising an antenna for sending or sending and receiving microwaves. The inventive level gauge is provided with a metallic outer conductor (7) and a ceramic inner conductor (9) which is fixed in a pressure-proof and gas-tight manner in the outer conductor (7). The inner conductor (9) or the outer conductor (7) has a coating made of fluorinated thermoplastic (19). The inner conductor (9) is fixed in the outer conductor (9) by means of hot pressing. The inner conductor (9) and the outer conductor (7) have identical cone-shaped surface areas (15) in the press fit area.
