The system has underfloor drive and coupling devices and is integrated into suitable traffic nodes in the existing rail network by separating two or more tracks into longitudinal and transverse displacement regions. These covered regions are formed between the tracks and beneath the rails as continuously open bridge-trench constructions for underfloor operation using the unit construction principle.
