A fuel injection system which is used to inject fuel into an internal combustion engine, comprising at least one fuel injection valve (2) and a fuel distribution line, provided with an inlet (3) for each fuel injection valve (2), wherein said inlet can be connected to an inlet section (6) of the fuel injection valve (2) and comprises a flexible section (16). The flexible section (16) consists of three concentric sleeve sections (9, 11, 13) which at least partially overlap with each other in a radial manner and which are connected to each other by double bends (14) in an axial cross-section.
