A power generation circuit,a display apparatus having it,and a cellular terminal apparatus using the display apparatus as an output display unit.In a DC−DC converter having a charge pump(31),a voltage dividing circuit(32),and a regulation circuit(33),ON/OFF control of PchMOS transistors(Qp21,Qp22,Qp31)is performed according to an enable pulse enb,so that the voltage dividing circuit(32)and a comparator(41)are in the active state only during a regulation period and in the inactive state during a period other than the regulation period.Thus,current is applied to voltage dividing resistors(R1,R2)and the comparator(41)only during the period required for regulation operation and it is possible to suppress power consumption loss caused by current application to the voltage dividing resistors(R1,R2)and the comparator(41)all the time.
