PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to improve the font by increasing the freedom in the diagonal direction by color filters by forming the color filters in the hexagonal shape, dividing each pixel by half and forming data lines in the center of the division. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes upper and lower substrates facing to each other, color filters formed of a plurality of pixels in the hexagonal shape in the combination of sub pixels of R, G, B color on the upper substrate, a plurality of gate lines(510) disposed with a plurality of gate electrodes on the lower substrate in one direction by a predetermined interval, a plurality of data lines(600) formed in the centers of the pixel areas with a plurality of source electrodes and perpendicular to the gate lines, a plurality of pixel electrodes(700a,700b) formed correspondingly to the color filters at both sides of the data lines by separating each pixel by half, and a plurality of thin film transistors formed on each intersection between the gate and data lines for applying data line signals to the pixel electrodes according to the gate line signals.
