Method for assembling frameless spectacles with threaded fasteners fitted through holes in the lenses and screwed into plastic nuts

A method for assembling frameless spectacles has holes drilled through the lenses to take threaded fasteners. The fasteners are screwed into plastic nuts which have plastic sleeves attached on one side. The sleeves line the holes and prevent the threaded fasteners from touching the glass. The metal fasteners screw into the plastic sleeves with a self tapping effect and the extending sections of the fasteners are cut off flush with the plastic nuts. The method is used to secure bridge pieces and side frames to the lenses.
