The vehicle is driven onto a platform (2) with stops (3, 4) located at the rear end where the first steps of the cleaning process are to be performed. After completion the platform (2) is rotated around a vertical column (6, 10), located beside the platform (2) in order to form a right angle with the former position and to facilitate the car to be farther cleaned and polished. The platform (2) can then be rotated a second time into a position parallel to the first, facilitating the car to leave the car wash unit through an exit located beside the entrance.
