A cabriolet vehicle has the roof support frame folding into a storage space in the rear of the vehicle and covered by hinged cover flaps. The cover flaps comprise a large flap mounted on a parallelogram leverage to lift and swing to the inside of the vehicle while the roof is erected or folded. The flap drops to cover the recess in either setting of the roof, and provides a flush fitting in the roof open position.
