The invention relates to an adjuster (101) for a vehicle seat, in particular for a motor vehicle seat, comprising a first adjuster piece (105) and a second adjuster piece (108), which may pivot relative to each other and by means of which the vehicle seat may be translated between at least one in-use position and at least one out-of-use position, whereby a latch (115) is mounted on the first adjuster piece (105) such as to rotate, which co-operates with at least one single locking element (118, 132) on the second adjuster piece (108) to lock the adjuster (101), whereby the latch (11) locks the adjuster (101) in the in-use position and also the out-of-use position.
