The standard rake works well for processing the soil in a vegetable- or flower bed but when leaves or fallen fruit shall be removed from the surface of a lawn, the spikes get caught in the grass. The new design of a rake is fitted with slightly elastic u-shaped spikes (D) joined to a base with a rectangular part provided with vertical grooves (S1, S2) positioned alternating at the rear and at the front for the accommodation of the bent upper ends (E1, E2) of the spikes (D). The arrangement is covered and kept together by a top part in the shape of a u-profile (U).
