PURPOSE: A battery charging system is provided to allow for battery charge between the batteries of portable phones. CONSTITUTION: A battery charging system(10) comprises a power supplying connector connected to a portable phone(1) for supplying power, and which receives power of the battery of the portable phone; a power receiving connector connected to the portable phone for receiving power, and which supplies charging power to the battery of the portable phone; a cable(5) for interconnecting the power supplying connector and the power receiving connector; and a charging circuit unit for generating charging current for charging the battery by stepping up the DC power of the battery of the portable phone input through the power supplying connector to the voltage level for charging the battery of the portable phone to be charged, and outputting the generated charging current to the power receiving connector through the cable.
