PURPOSE: An air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to achieve improved heat exchange efficiency of evaporator and reduce frequency of freezing of condensed water at the surface of the evaporator. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner comprises the first air filter(70) and the second air filter installed between a blower unit and an evaporator(31) and in the blower unit so as to remove foreign substances and odor from the air. The first and second air filters have pitches(P2) in an excessive air part(H) which are more dense than the pitches(P1) in an insufficient air part(L). Alternatively, an air distribution unit is arranged in the air inlet sides of the first and second air filters so as to distribute the air from the excessive air part to the insufficient air part. The air distribution unit includes a plurality of flow direction control blades which are arranged to be directed toward the insufficient air part from the excessive air part.
