PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing a spherical metal particle are provided to prevent an oxide metal layer from being formed on a surface of the spherical metal particle and to continuously manufacture spherical metal particles without using heavy equipment. CONSTITUTION: A spherical metal particle manufacturing apparatus includes a tundish(3), a copper pipe torch(19) and a cooling reservoir(11). The tundish(3) has a porous plate(7) formed with a plurality of perforation holes(5). A runner(1) is installed at an upper side portion of the tundish(3) so as to receive a molten metal from a furnace. An upper torch(21) is installed above the molten metal contained in the tundish(3) in order to continuously heat the molten metal in such a manner that molten metal maintains a predetermined temperature. The cooling reservoir(11) is spaced from the tundish(3) and contains cooling liquid.
