The lifter for a cleaner for dry shavers has a baseplate (2) with guides (7) and a frame (3) mounted on a plate (8) which is slidable with respect to the base plate. Coil springs (10) clamp the frame plate to the baseplate. The springs are released to allow them to slide along the guides and allow lifting of the frame.
