PURPOSE: A method for preparing a fluorescent substance for a plasma display panel is provided, to improve the properties of a green fluorescent substance for enhancing the image quality by employing a BAM-based fluorescent substance and a Tb-based fluorescent substance. CONSTITUTION: The plasma display panel comprises red, green and blue fluorescent substances, wherein the green fluorescent substance is a mixture of a BAM-based green fluorescent substance and 30-70 wt% of a Tb-based green fluorescent substance. Preferably the BAM-based fluorescent substance comprises BaAl12O19:Mn and (Ba, Sr, Mg)OAl2O3:Mn; and the Tb-based fluorescent substance comprises YBO3:Tb. Preferably the mixture of a BAM-based green fluorescent substance and a Tb-based green fluorescent substance is prepared by rolling the BAM-based fluorescent substance powder and the Tb-based fluorescent substance powder for 12 hours or more. |
