<p>A method of making a door edge profile of a metal sheet skin door comprising, firstly, fastening a stiffening channel (30) parallel to a first metal sheet (40) skin's edge to provide for a groove (50) between said channel (30) and said first skin (40) .Next, a second metal sheet skin (60) is folded to form an open door edge pan fitting said channel (30), and ending with a flange (62) .Then, the end flange (62) of said pan skin is pushed to slot into said groove (50) to form the door edge profile. A number of embodiments in which the groove may be created are described. In particular, there are many other ways in which the channel may be folded out of the first skin to integrally provide for the groove into which the end flange of a second pan skin may be securely inserted.</p> |
