INTERMEDIATE FOR BIOTIN AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
摘要
A process for producing an industrially advantageous intermediate for biotin. The process, which is for producing a compound represented by the general formula (I): (I) (wherein R<sp>1</sp> and R<sp>2</sp> may be the same or different and each represents hydrogen, benzyl optionally having a substituent on the benzene ring, benzhydryl optionally having a substituent on the benzene rings, or trityl optionally having a substituent on the benzene rings; and R<sp>3</sp> represents cyano, carboxy, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylthiocarbonyl, or optionally substituted carbamoyl) or a salt of the compound, is characterized by causing a compound represented by the general formula (II−a): (II−a) (wherein the symbols have the same meanings as the above) or a salt of the compound to undergo ring conversion.
