An apparatus for imparting a waving motion to a flag (1) displayed indoors that comprises a flag support structure, preferably a flagpole (3) and a horizontally oriented flag (1) connected thereto. The main idea of the invention is that at least one propeller (4), driven by a motor (7), is attached to the exterior of the flag support structure substantially at the level of the flag.
