Headlamp for bicycle employing LEDs in linear formation assisted by reflectors and miniature lens in cover glass

The light source for the lamp is formed of a number of LEDs (2) (12 up to 80) arranged in linear groups which can clip on to a battery container. Beam intensity can be increased by mounting each in a small cup shaped reflector whilst the direction of the beam can be controlled by small semi-spherical lens directly in front of the individual LEDs in the lamp cover glass. A head light flasher function can be provided by discharging a storage capacitor to transiently energize the LEDs.
