The invention relates to an anti-skid system and a method for operation of the anti-skid system. Depending on the state of the movement of at least one wheel, control commands are generated for at least one actuator (12) in the anti-skid system. In generating the control commands a parameter characteristic of the vertical tyre force is taken into account.
