The invention relates to a chopstick consisting of an elongate body (1) with a first end (2) with which the chopstick is held and with a second end (3) with which food is taken hold of or picked up, wherein the second end (3) is provided with a serration (4) with which larger piece of food can be made smaller and the smaller pieces can then be taken hold of or picked up and eaten in the usual manner using the chopsticks.
