METHOD FOR DECIDING WEIGHTING FACTOR IN DISTANCE MEASURING PROCESS USING MICROWAVES

PURPOSE: A method for deciding a weighting factor in a distance measuring process using microwaves is provided to process stably signals and enhance the accuracy of an estimation process by performing a statistical process using a Hanning window filter. CONSTITUTION: A dividing process is performed to divide an arbitrary time interval defined according to a characteristic of microwaves reflected from a predetermined target into blocks of N number. The N blocks are counted sequentially by performing an up-counting process. A down-counting process is performed by subtracting a counting value of the up-counting process from N. Weight factor values are sequentially produced by using a predetermined mathematical expression such as (1-cos(2πn/(N-n)))/2 until a counting value of the down-counting process becomes 1.
