PURPOSE: A multilingual traffic information system using radio waves is provided to give a service for providing the traffic information to a client by using a standard code system. CONSTITUTION: A street sign includes kinds of the street sign, position information, a road code, identification of going up/going down, a sign code of the street sign, and an additional information code. The street sign is formed by using a peculiar code for identifying functions of each street sign. A complex device including various street signs is installed at a crowded place such as a crossroads and a tollgate. The coded traffic information is converted to many languages. A bus, a vehicle for business, a vehicle for emergency transmit peculiar information if necessary.
