SWITCHING SYSTEM HAVING CID PHONE DETECTING FUNCTION AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A switching system having a CID(Calling Identity Delivery) phone detecting function and a control method thereof are provided to firstly retrieve whether a terminal has the CID function before transmitting CID information to the terminal, and to transmit a CID information signal to the terminal according to a result, thereby reducing exchange trunk by removing a routine of transmitting the unnecessary CID information signal. CONSTITUTION: A CID function confirmation decider(3) transmits a CID function obtaining response request signal to terminals(2A-N) when a call is generated, confirms whether a response message signal is received, and decides whether the terminals(2A-N) have a CID function. A controller(4) decides an output signal of the CID function confirmation decider(3), controls the transmission of a CID information signal to the terminals(2A-N), and controls a function of a switching system(1). A data transmission block(5) applies ring signals according to a function control signal of the controller(4), or loads CID information of a caller between the first ring signal and the second ring signal, and transmits the CID information.
