FRONT SUCTION AND DISCHARGE TYPE OUTDOOR UNIT FOR AIR CONDITIONER AND SIROCCO FAN FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: A front suction and discharge type outdoor unit for an air conditioner and a sirocco fan for the same are provided to increase air flow rate of the sirocco fan, while preventing increase of suction resistance. CONSTITUTION: A front suction and discharge type outdoor unit comprises an outdoor unit casing having an open surface and other closed surfaces, and an interior divided into a suction part and a discharge part; a compressor mounted in the outdoor unit casing, which compresses the refrigerant gas supplied from an indoor unit; an air-cooling condenser mounted in the outdoor unit casing, which condenses the refrigerant gas supplied from the compressor; and a sirocco fan mounted in the outdoor unit casing, which supplies outdoor air to the air-cooling condenser and discharges heat-exchanged air. The sirocco fan includes a driving motor(42) mounted in one of suction orifices; a hub fitted to a rotating shaft(43) of the driving motor, which rotates together with the rotating shaft; and a plurality of blades(44) arranged into a cylindrical shape centering from the hub. The hub has holes for partially discharging the air sucked through the orifices arranged at the side where the driving motor is absent, through the gap formed between the blades arranged at the side where the driving motor is present.
