PURPOSE: A method of implementing a locking function by using voice recognition and a mobile communication terminal using the same are provided to perform user authentication with a voice signal of a specific word by using a speaker voice recognition technology, and to use an image to associate the specific word, thereby improving security and convenience of the locking function. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs a voice of a specific word to a microphone for recording of a terminal(S211). A voice recognizer calculates voice recognition information, and stores the voice recognition information in a storage(S212). The user inputs an associate image while specifying the associate image(S215). The user selects one of pre-inputted images(S214,S216). When the associate image is specified, the voice recognizer stores information on the selected associate image with the voice recognition information of a calculated locking setup word in the storage(S217). The voice recognizer selects a locking application menu(S218).
