PURPOSE: A scale removing apparatus used in skin pass mill is provided to improve quality of a rolling article by preliminarily removing various scales and metal scraps at an inlet part of a skin pass mill. CONSTITUTION: A scale removing apparatus includes a scale removing roll, a scale removing section and a scale collecting section. The scale removing roll has a rotating shaft, a hollow metal roll formed with a plurality of cutting sections, and MC nylon coated on an outer peripheral portion of the hollow metal roll. The scale removing section has an upper roll(12) mounted on a bearing block, a driving cylinder for moving the bearing block up and down, and a lower roll(13) installed below the upper roll(12). The scale collecting section has a scale collecting vessel(14) positioned below the scale removing section, a moving vehicle(15) coupled to the scale collecting vessel(14) and a driving cylinder(17).
