The wind energy system has at least two generators (2) driven by wind rotors (1), a rectifier unit (3) per generator, an energy storage circuit (4) per rectifier unit, a transmission system (8) and a supply coupler (15). Each rectifier unit is an active rectifier unit with controlable semiconducting parts.
