A high heel support system comprises a support structure having a support bar 13, preferably made from a solid metal bar, bent to follow the contours of the inner leg of a wearer. At the bottom of the support bar an articulation joint is provided such that the ankle can move. The support bar is preferably fitted in to a metal tube provided within the base 12 of the shoe, the base further having a heel bar to support the heel. At the upper end of the support bar a support pad 14 may be attached. Preferably, the support bar and support pad may be almost completely concealed within the material layers 15 that make up a boot structure. The support system allows the wearer of very high heels (150mm - 600mm) to walk more easily and with confidence. |
