FIELD: chemical industry and technology and can be used in preparing lacquers and dyes. SUBSTANCE: pigment comprises 64 wt.-% of mechanically activated natural or artificial mineral with whiteness 90%, not less, and 36 wt-% of titanium dioxide of rutile form as a white color-carrier. For preparing pigment indicated mineral is subjected for mechanical activation by grinding with centrifugal force in continuous flow with acceleration above 9.8 g. Simultaneously, titanium dioxide is loaded into service bunker, dosed and weighted the required amount. Mechanically activated mineral is mixed with titanium dioxide in the first mixer of discrete-continuous compulsory effect. Mixture is subjected for mechanical activation in the above indicated regime to obtain white mechanically activated color-forming product that is mixed with weighted amount of titanium dioxide in the second mixer. Prepared working mixture is subjected for mechanical activation in the above indicated regime. Ready mechanically activated pigment is fed into bunker-tank and packaged into consume containers. Pigment can comprise additionally 0.5-1.5 wt. -% of hydrophobic addition - calcium stearate, and/or aluminium stearate, and/or luminor red-violet 440 PT, and/or anticoagulating agent. Pigment can comprise 0.5-3 wt.-% of inhibitor of photochemical processes, for example, SiO2, Al2O3, ZnO or anticorrosive addition, for example, . Pigment corresponds to white color by standard of European pantographic scale and shows the improved optical, staining and technological properties.
