PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic field treatment method using a coil adequate for efficiently preventing the adhesion of scale to the inner wall of piping in performing such prevention by subjecting the fluid flowing in the piping to electromagnetic field treatment. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic field treatment method comprises winding the coil 2 around the outer side of the piping 1 and passing an AC electric current from a power unit 3 having a current control circuit to the coil 2, in which the coil 2 is formed of a thin sheet of stainless steel having a small time constant to the AC electric current and having excellent responsiveness.
