The invention relates to a safety device for child safety seats that are detachably fastened in a motor vehicle. The inventive safety device comprises a first inflatable airbag (9) that is received, in its non-activated state, in a housing (11) provided with a predetermined breaking point, and that is comprised of a center cushion (19) and two lateral cushions (21) each next to it, and a second airbag (22, 36) that is effective in a region of the front end of the back rest (7) of the child safety seat (5). The top end of said second airbag, in its activated state, extends into the region of the top end of the back rest (7). Said airbag (22, 36) can either be detachably fastened on the back rest (7) or is configured thereon and comprises at least one connection for a detachable, preferably insertable connection, in order to be activated by the control unit of the motor vehicle or to be filled by an air cushion (24, 38) that is provided in the front zone of the seat (6) of the child safety seat. |
