LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luggage compartment structure for vehicle with partitioning function formed in a simple structure and manufacturable at a low cost. SOLUTION: A thin groove 28 extending in the generally longitudinal direction of a vehicle is formed in the side area of a luggage floor panel 18 forming the floor surface of the luggage compartment 10. A mat 30 laid down on the luggage floor panel 18 comprises a mat body 32 covering the central area of the luggage floor panel 18 and a side part mat 34 covering the side area of the luggage floor panel 18. When the luggage compartment 10 is partitioned for use, the divided end part 34A of the side mat 34 removed from the upper side of the luggage floor panel 18 is inserted into the thin groove 28, and the side mat 34 is vertically installed on the luggage floor panel 18. Thus the luggage compartment can be partitioned with a simple structure without installing a dedicated partition member for partitioning the luggage compartment 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
