PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the feed rate of stems and culms cut to a short size in the width direction in a roll baler for whole crops of the stem and culms, etc., of a field. SOLUTION: This roll baler for the whole crops is obtained by installing a reaping apparatus having a transporting means, etc., for transporting the stems and culms of the whole crops such as rice plant or barley or wheat in the field to the reaping rear while raising up the stems and culms at the front of a frame 3 equipped with a left and a right traveling apparatuses 1 and 2, providing a disk cutter 12 for receiving the transported stems and culms and cutting the stems and culms to a prescribed size on the side of the frame 3 and installing a diffusing screw 17 for receiving the cut stems and culms and diffusing the cut stems and culms in the left and right directions under the disk cutter 12. The roll baler is composed of a front forming chamber 27 fixed to the frame 3 and a rear forming chamber 28 openably and closably connected to the rear of the front forming chamber 27 and capable of compressing the stems and culms introduced from a stem and culm introducing part 34 while accompanying the stems and culms in the peripheral direction in a packaging space 35 and forming the stems and culms into a roll bale. In the roll baler, guide plates 19 capable of changing over and setting the guide angle so as to converge the cut stems and culms on the left and right central side or diffuse the stems and culms in the left and right directions are installed under the disk cutter 12.
