PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct autonomous draining to a prescribed place, using a fuel cell as a power source. SOLUTION: In this leg type mobile robot 100, a dog is used as a model in its shape, the fuel cell 101 provided in an inside thereof is used as the power source. Methanol is used as fuel in the fuel cell 101, and water is generated in power generation in the fuel cell 101. Therefore, the mobile robot 100 is provided with a methanol tank 103 and a water recovery tank 107, and is operated to take the methanol in and to drain the generated water as urine, so as to realize a behavior or a motion close to the actual dog. The mobile robot 100 is provided with a means for receiving radio waves emitted from a methanol storage vessel 201 and a flowerpot 301 to detect positions thereof. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
