PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of improving a jam clearing performance. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a placing base for placing a plurality of sheet materials, raising/lowering means raising/ lowering the placing base, feeding means feeding the placed sheet materials, carrier means carrying the fed sheet materials, pressure-contact means press- contacting the sheet materials to the carrier means, and separating means separating the pressure-contact means from the carrier means.
