PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the simplification and operational accuracy of the rotary mechanism of a moving/rotary type electromotive stapler. SOLUTION: Clincher units 3 and driver units 4 are attached to two slide bases 6, which synchronously run on linear guides 5 arranged up and down in parallel, in a freely rotatable manner and click stop mechanisms fixing the slide bases at a 0°-position or a 45°rotary position are provided. Pawl parts 19 and 20 corresponding to the 0°-position and the 45°rotary position are provided to the outer peripheral parts of the slide bases and stopper pins 21 are arranged to a running route. When the driver units and the clincher units are allowed to run from an initial position to an oblique binding position, the 0°-pawl parts 9 impinge against the stopper pins 21 and the driver units and the clincher units are rotated to the 45°rotary position to be fixed. When the driver units and the clincher units are allowed to reversely run toward the initial position, the 45°-pawl parts 20 impinge against the stopper pins 21 and return to the 0°-position to be fixed.
