PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition excellent in flame retardance and heat resistance and giving a molding having good appearance in its welded part. SOLUTION: This flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition contains 100 pts.mass thermoplastic resin (A), 0.3-8 pts.mass phosphorus compound (B), and 1-30 pts.mass phosphorus compound (C). The kind of the thermoplastic resin (A) is not limited but it is preferably a graft polymer prepared by graft polymerization of at least an aromatic vinyl monomer in the presence of a rubber-like monomer and/or a polystyrene resin prepared by polymerization of an aromatic vinyl monomer. It is preferable further that it contains an aromatic polycarbonate resin. The phosphorus compound (B) is an aromatic phosphorus compound represented by a specific general formula, and the phosphorus compound (C) is a condensed phosphorus ester compound represented by a specific general formula.
