<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can form images to solid bodies to be imaged such as PET bottles. <P>SOLUTION: A positive polarity fly voltage is impressed to a doughnut-shaped fly control electrode 106Bk set at a fly control plate 103Bk, thereby flying a group of negative polarity toner Tk held by a toner holding roller 102Bk in the form of dots. The toner is brought into a hole 105Bk set in the fly control plate 103Bk. Meanwhile, minute liquid drops 12 jetted from a liquid drop jet unit 10 are passed through a plate-shaped grounded electrode 9 and a needle- shaped electrode 8 with a positive polarity voltage impressed, and then allowed to adhere to the PET bottle Bp. The adhesion of minute liquid drops charged to be positive in the polarity by corona discharge between both electrodes forms an electric field between a surface of the bottle and the fly control electrode 103Bk, so that the toner of the hole 105Bk is continued to fly and allowed to adhere to the bottle surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
