PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically feed a core by effectively using a vacant space in a winder for manufacturing a winding roll disposed in a paper factory. SOLUTION: This winder is provided with a jumbo roll 1 disposed on a manufacturing line, an unwinding motor 6 provided in a side of the manufacturing line and rotating the jumbo roll 1, a winding station 10 disposed on the manufacturing line and winding a web 7 from the jumbo roll, and a core chuck nose 12-1 installed in the winding station 10 and supporting the both ends of the core 11. The winder is also provided with a container space 20-1 for carrying in a core container 20 storing the cores 11 in the upstream side of the unwinding motor 6 and a core pick-up device 30 picking up the core 11 from the core antenna 20 on the container space 20-1.
