PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a conventional paper feeder such that the number of parts is large since one torque limiter and two gear parts meshed with each other are required, and the shape of a frame for holding the torque limiter is complicated and a space for the torque limiter must be largely set since the gear parts must be stepped and the torque limiter must also be positioned so as to mesh with the gear parts. SOLUTION: The gear parts at two positions are smoothly continued to each other with a tooth profile of a same module for integration. Also, one torque limiter is installed on an arm rotated about a pivot so as to be meshed with any portion of the gear parts. In addition, a spring is fitted to the arm so that the torque limiter can be pressed against the gear parts at all times. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
