PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it takes several hours to make one stamper for an optical disk, a dust generated in a process, a resist thickness and uniformity, stability of a recording laser beam, stability of developing conditions or the like affect a severe influence to the shape of a recorded pit or a groove, particularly the manufacturing yield of the stamper for a high-density optical disk is wrong and hence it takes several days to make the stamper for the disk at present. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the stamper comprises the step for manufacturing a replica of good quality by, for example, an injection molding machine according to the stamper 31 of the good quality. The method further comprises the steps of electroforming 34 with the replica 33 as a master, separating 35 the electroforming 34 and manufacturing the stamper 36.
